Boundary Bay and Pt. Roberts : It has been so long since I've been to Point Roberts and I couldn't even remember how to get there. So we fumbled our way by first going to Boundary Bay Park (a wildlife preserve) on the Canadian side and then going over to Point Roberts. We visited the treehouse a place that served fancy waffles and sold paintings. It was so long ago I couldn't remember how it looked.

Capilano River : The Capilano Salmon Hatchery has always been a favorite place to visit. This time around however, I was seeing it with different eyes. Instead of looking at the hatchery, I looked at the river and then took a walk up one of the trails to the dam from where a beautiful view of the mountains can be had.

Richmond Docks : This was a bit of a disappointment photographically. Got there early in the morning but couldn't get the compositions I wanted. It was nice and cool there and there were people looking to buy seafood from the fishermen. I enjoyed a warm cup of coffee and stopped by a fruit stand for some terrific strawberries, peaches and blueberries. The farms in the area looked nice and I wish I had the time to look around but I had to get home.

Richmond Nature Park : Richmond Nature Park is one of the bogs close by where we live. I was very surprised to find out that there are a few around the Vancouver area (Camosun Bog and Burns Bog).

Horseshoe Bay, Pt. Atkinson and Off-Marine Drive : It was a nice day as it has been all February (unseasonally so) and I chose Horseshoe Bay as our destination for the day. I wanted to have the girls experience fish and chips at Trolls and it was enjoyable. We also took a walk at Pt Atkinson, had a look at the lighthouse there but unfortunately did not find the way to the beach to get a better view of the lighthouse. I spotted a sign for a church and I quickly took another quick-see. Didn't get to see the church but found a little spot where the rocks were really beautiful. We also saw a small cove and had a quick look before heading home.

Deer Lake Park : It was a beautifully sunny day specially after a week of rain and cloudy skies. Just had to visit a park and Deer Lake Park was one I had been wanting to visit for some time. It was cold but it was invigorating. Wish we had more time to explore as I think there were better spots for taking better pictures. But the late afternoon sun made for some nice lighting.

Buddhist Temple : Located in Richmond, this Buddhist Temple looks really nice. There is also a mosque close to this area that I would like to visit.
